Comparing the effectiveness of treatment based on acceptance and commitment and mindfulness therapy on chronic pain in people with drug addiction

Introduction: Not only can the experience of pain be a factor for drug use, but it also motivation to use drugs again during and after treatment. Aim: The purpose present study was compare effectiveness acceptance commitment-based therapy mindfulness-based on chronic in People with addiction. Method: research method semi-experimental pre-test-post-test design control group one-month follow-up. statistical population included people suffering from abuse who referred addiction treatment clinics Arak city 2021. Using available sampling method, 60 were selected randomly put/ placed experimental groups (20 each group). tool revised McGill Pain Questionnaire (2009). Mindfulness implemented 8 sessions (90 minutes session) commitment based session). Data analyzed using SPSS-25 software covariance analysis. Results: results analysis post-test follow-up phase showed/ demonstrated significant difference (P=0.001). Both treatments had effect improvement pain, is worth noting that this greater whom (P=0.01). Conclusion: Treatment showed more improving compared mindfulness. Therefore, recommended improve abuse.
